It is our greatest joy to welcome you to Washington, D.C., for a weekend we have long imagined, surrounded by the people we hold most dear. We are pleased to share a city that has become our home with you, and to celebrate among some of its most storied rooms and landmarks together. Restored to its historic grandeur, the iconic Old Post Office has been reimagined as Waldorf Astoria Washington DC. Our hotel sits on Pennsylvania Avenue between The White House and the Capitol near National Mall museums, the Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial.Â
Most love stories begin in a café or on a city sidewalk. Taylor and Brenna's began at a train station.
On New Year's Eve 2023, a well-meaning setup brought them together at the Palm Beach Brightline station. Neither expected much, but the train ride turned into a long conversation, and by the time it ended, something had shifted. That night, Brenna texted her friends a photo and four words: "I just met my husband."
What followed was a whirlwind: a presidential campaign, long distances, and busy lives, through which they always chose each other. They met each other's families, moved to Palm Beach, then to Washington, and built a home together. As Brenna says, "We don't go around the storm, we go through it."
On December 30, 2025, on the California coast near Carmel, Taylor proposed. With gratitude to God, their families, and their friends, they will begin their next chapter in Washington, D.C., on May 15, 2027.
